Abstract

   Installing a Linux distribution is currently an important alternative to take into consideration not only for the server systems but for the desktop systems. Implementing Linux based servers for organizations must take into consideration the security options. Implementing security must be done by translating the security policy of the company in the options of configuring the Linux distribution. The subject proposed – Secured Linux server – (in 2 parts) intends to be an absolutely necessary guide for the companies which want to implement an informatics system based on a server which is efficient from the point of view of technique, stability, security and performance at a lower price.
